We are pleased to announce the Fall 2011 Grant recipients

Janelle Mueller, Art Club and S.T.A.R.S advisor at AHS will receive a grant for murals in various locations throughout the junior/senior high school. Total granted: $515.00

Annette Hartstein, 5th grade teacher at MAS, will receive a grant for laptops that can be used to create electronic portfolios of students' Haddon Lake research as well as other scientific activities. Total granted: $1,244

Sue Moore, Music teacher at MAS, received a grant for You Can Play an Instrument to purchase 2 flutes, a bass clarinet case, and a trombone case to be used for students that can not afford to purchase or rent an instrument. Total granted: $992.18

Angela DiFilippo, Health and PE teacher at AHS, will receive a grant to introduce the sport Disc Golf to the district. Total granted: $1,708.83

Michele Castagna, First grade teacher at HAS, will receive a grant for iPad2s. Total granted: $1,270

JoAnne McCarty, First grade teacher at HAS, will receive a grant for LEGO Education Hands-On Simple Machine Kits. Total granted: $740

Kim Brach, Special Education Teacher at MAS, will receive a grant for iPad2s for special needs instruction. Total granted: $1,734.

Audubon Education Foundation Awards First Series of Grants for the 2010 School Year.

With over $900 million in state aid to schools eliminated this year, it has become increasingly difficult for public schools to maintain and bring in special programs that excite and inspire students to learn. In Audubon, a grass roots group, Audubon Education Foundation, continuously works to raise funds for such projects and has awarded a series of grants to select educators seeking to initiate unique and exciting programs in the Audubon School district. In this round, the Audubon Education Foundation awarded over $10,000 in grants to the following programs representing a variety of grade levels and subjects.

In a world of cut backs and downsizing, the Audubon Education Foundation infuses a little fresh air into the system with a series of grants to select educators seeking to initiate unique and exciting programs in the Audubon School district. In this round, over $6,500 in grants were awarded to five educators representing a variety of grade levels and subjects.
